Set a Default File Type for Parsed Resumes

Files, Parser

What's new?

You can now set a default file type for parsed candidate attachments. This gives your team flexibility to align parsed files with your organization's naming conventions instead of relying on the standard "Resume" file type.

Why does it matter?

This update gives you more control over how candidate files are categorized and displayed. It ensures consistent file organization, reduces manual edits after parsing, and supports more customized workflows for your business.

How do I enable this?

This feature is available to all customers by default. Admins can configure the defaultFileTypeForParsedCandidateAttachments system setting to define their preferred default file type. The chosen file type must also exist in the _fileTypeList_ system setting. If the defaultFileTypeForParsedCandidateAttachments system setting is left blank, Bullhorn will continue to default to the file type to "Resume."
